Operating Manual for Floating in SpaceA performance opera that investigates the ecstasy of existence through a carefully sequenced series of bodily movements. Structured as a manual for the body, it unfolds as both instruction and choreography, guiding performers and spectators into a heightened state of awareness.

CommanderSit on the platform with your legs stretched 
Roll to your back and lift your legs up 
Repeat the action
Use your hands to press into the floor
ConstellationArrange the stage parts in a zigzag
Stand on the stage parts 
Rest the sticks on each other’s shoulders
Hum
ExplorerGrab a stick and stand very close to the other performers 
Walk slowly with eyes closed and sticks out  
Yell when the stick touches a surface  
Turn sharply and continue  
GazerSit on your knees
Gaze to the front with a straight back
Vocalise
GeneratorWalk around the space 
Start humming while moving slowly 
Pass the microphone to each other 
When the (looped) hums become a wave of voices go to next action
